The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 32 arrests from December 4 to December 11.
Lacresha Kay of 140 Barnes Road Braxton MS was arrested on December 4 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 42 arrests from November 27 to December 4.
Michael Carter of 140 Dry Creek road Magee MS was arrested on November 28 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
At approximately 4 a.m. Monday, November 20, the Magee Police Department responded to a call describing a dead body near the Highway 28 West and Highway 49 intersection.
Assistant Chief Joey Womack explained that a body was lying in the road not far from the CEFCO and Texaco service stations.

Sheriff Donald O’Cain recently named his replacement for Chief of Operations Scott Womack, who had resigned.
Last week O’Cain announced that long time deputy Greg Reynolds has been named Chief Deputy, and will assist with the day to day operations of the Sheriff’s Office.
