The City of Magee has opened registration for youth softball and baseball. There will be a $45 registration fee. Baseball will be available for children ages 3-16 and softball from ages 3-19.



Halloween events abound

Ghouls, witches, and goblins will have ample opportunities to rack up on candy this week.

Magee will be hosting Treat Street behind the Community Center from 5 until 8 p.m. at the end of Crazy Day.

The city is asking those who want to trick or treat in Magee to do so that Saturday evening until 9 p.m.


Tanker wreck snarls traffic

A one vehicle accident involving a tanker truck loaded with gasoline happened at approximately 11:45 a.m. Monday morning.

Emergency officials explained that the driver, who has yet to be identified, lost control of the truck, which turned over on its side, while traveling northbound on Highway 49 near Richard Joiner Road in Magee.
