Kennedy Springs Baptist Church "Mission Center"--- --HUGE WINTER Sale... January 19 and 20 from 8 a.m.-noon. Most clothes are *50¢ including blue jeans. Hundreds of sweats, coats, jackets and sweaters sell for * 50¢ and up. They receive new clothing donations from CATO and Dollar General as well as jewelry from Ballyhoo often! Hundreds of books are available for 10 ¢. It has been open to the public every other weekend for over ten years selling toys, dishes, linens,knick knacks and much more at unbelievable prices! However, new date changes - they will now be open the 1st and 3rd Friday and Saturday each month and hopefully this will make it easier to keep up with. The Princess and the Pea presented by Puppet Arts Theatre directed by Peter Zapletal, will be held Monday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. at Mendenhall Public Library. This performance is made possible in part by a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
The annual Friends of the Mendenhall Library soup and cornbread fundraiser will be held Thurday, Jan. 25, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Don’t miss out. Purchase your $5 ticket from a Friends member or at the library circulation desk.
Annual Women’s Day program will be held at Mary Grove M.B. Church on Sunday, Jan. 28, at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Rose Collins of South Pleasant Hill will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited.

Morning prayer and afternoon luncheon is held every Thursday at Mt. Moriah Church. Prayer time is 11 a.m. until noon. Lunch and fellowship time is 12:15-1:15 p.m. Prayer and lunch is open to all people to get spiritually fed and natural food for the soul. The Books-n-Lunch Club meets at the Magee Library at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss a book chosen for adult readers. New participants are welcome.
