The Board of Supervisors and Simpson County Solid Waste Offices will be closed Friday, March 30, in observance of Good Friday and Easter weekend. Regular trash pickup for Monday, April 2, will be on Tuesday, April 3, and will run through Thursday afternoon. Trash must be out by 6 a.m. and in bags ready for pickup.
First Baptist Church of Magee will sponsor a Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31, beginning at 9:30 a.m. for children from birth through 6th grade at the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex in Magee. The event is free to the public, and more than 10,000 eggs will be hidden!
The Magee First Baptist Church Pastor Aide Ministry will hold their Second Annual Pastor Aide Gala on Saturday, March 31, at 6 p.m. at the Magee Civic Center. The doors will open at 5 p.m. Minister Herbert Anderson and his wife Sister Deborah Anderson will be the speakers. This event is formal and a buffet dinner will be served. An Easter Sunrise Service will be held in Magee on the front lawn of First United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 1, at 7 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church next door. Sunday school begins at FBC at 9 a.m. with a worship celebration beginning at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to all events.

Magee High School Class of 1988 will celebrate their 30 year reunion on Friday, June 1, with a Meet and Greet at Magee High School from 6-7 p.m. and tour the old stomping ground and reminisce. A block party will be held at The Vault in Downtown Magee from 7-10 p.m. On Saturday, June 2, the 30 year class celebration will be held at Pretty Unique event venue, Hwy 18 W, Jackson, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The cost for the 2 day event is $150 per classmate and allows one guest. A deposit of $75 is due by March 12 and the final payment of $75 is due by April 2.
