DA announces felony convictions

District Attorney Matt Sullivan announces the following defendants have been adjudicated guilty and sentenced to significant punishments for felony crimes committed in the Thirteenth District.  Simpson County:  Robert Kilpatrick received 10 years for Possession of Methamphetamine.  Jerry Hutchins received 10 years for Possession of Methamphetam


Arrest Reports 5-17-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 32 arrests from May 7 to May 14.

The SCSO reported the following additional arrests: warrants (3), possession of paraphernalia (5), simple assault, domestic violence, DUI 1st (8), disorderly conduct (3), hold (6), failure to comply, DUI 1st other, public drunk, court order, and capias.



Three arrests, more anticipated

Thursday evening, May 2,  Simpson County Sheriff’s Department gassed suspect in order to get him to surrender. 

The call started around 5:20 p.m. when shots were reported at a residence on Old Jupiter Road.  Upon arrival it was reported that an unknown black assailant had fired shots and left the scene in a gray Ford. 


Arrest Reports 5-10-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 15 arrests from April 30 to May 7.

Robert Michael Jennings of Lot 18 Highway 80, Pearl MS was arrested on May 1 and charged with possession of methamphetamine and no driver’s license.



Shooting in D'Lo

Simpson County Sheriff’s Department in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies force suspect from residence using tear gas.

Thursday afternoon the Simpson County Sheriff’s Department was notified that shots were fired on Old Jupiter Road.  Deputies responded and one suspect fled the scene in a gray Ford. 





Arrest report 4-26-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 41 arrests from April 16 to April 23.

Khadijah Thornton of 126 Paige Brown Road Mendenhall MS was arrested on April 18 and charged with hindering prosecution and disturbing the peace.



Arrest Reports 4-19-2018

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reported 35 arrests from April 9 to April 16.

Lee Floyd of 102 North Congress Street Mendenhall was arrested on April 9 and charged with leaving the scene and possession of a controlled substance
