Don’t burn the flag

F lames that consumed a Mississippi State flag Monday in front of the Governor’s Mansion could also incinerate hope for the very thing protestors claim to want: Changing the controversial symbol.







We need good people to run for elected office

G enerally speaking, folks go into office with good intentions to do the right thing for the right reasons.  They look to others who have served in those offices for advice on how to do things properly and sometimes if they listen they get proper advice and sometimes they do not.  They either don’t listen or they don’t get the proper advice. 








Premature Choice for Peace Prize

Phil Bryant and a handful of other U.S. governors seem a little premature — not to mention a little selective in their evidence — for pushing President Donald Trump for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.

One would think that in order to qualify, a nominee should actually have achieved some peace, rather than just talked about it.
