Simpson County Technical Center features Polymer Science program

Simpson County Technical Center is featuring its Polymer Science program.  Pictured is instructor, Dr. Dave Nicholas, with first year students (left to right) William Wolfrum, Markus Floyd, Chris Dickinson, Andrew Perry, William Perry and   Ke'Darius Brooks during a lab activity.  The Polymer Science program is part of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Pathways Cluster.  It introduces the student to the field of plastics and polymer materials in manufacturing.  The program is designed to provide students with hands-on experiences related to the application of polymer science concepts in the workplace.  Students enrolled in this program have the option of joining SkillsUSA, the student organization for students enrolled in career and technical education

Area high schools have chosen their top graduates for special honors at graduation ceremonies across the county this month.  They will be recognized and speak to audiences at those ceremonies.
