Banis, Fewell to unite June 2

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Banis of Magee joyfully announce the engagement of their daughter, Savannah Faith Banis, to Mason Warren Fewell. Mason is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Shane Fewell of Mendenhall. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fewell of Mendenhall and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Luckey of Magee.

The couple will be united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. on June 2, 2018, at Corinth Baptist Church in Magee. Following the ceremony, a celebration honoring their union will be held at the home of the bride.

Faith graduated from Simpson County Academy in 2014. She currently attends the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where she will graduate summa cum laude in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in secondary English education.  During her college career, Faith maintained a 4.0 GPA while being an active member of the Tau Chapter of Chi Omega Fraternity and participating in various other organizations and activities. Following graduation, Faith will begin her career as an educator of English in the Rankin County School District.

Mason also graduated from Simpson County Academy. Following his graduation in 2012, Mason pursued a career in the oil industry. He is currently employed by Helmerich and Payne, Inc.

Upon their marriage, the couple will reside in Mendenhall in a newly built home that Mason, with the help of close family and friends, designed and built.

Area high schools have chosen their top graduates for special honors at graduation ceremonies across the county this month.  They will be recognized and speak to audiences at those ceremonies.
